January 22, 2025 – A new joint initiative powered by Connections for Seniors will aim to create better working opportunities for older adults. The Encore Summit brings together industry representatives and labour experts to discuss the needs and opportunities of employing, upskilling, and retaining older workers.

The workforce summit is a premier event focused on exploring the value and contributions of seniors in today’s workforce. With a growing recognition of the benefits of age diversity, this conference brings together large-scale employers, HR professionals, policymakers, and thought leaders to discuss strategies for integrating senior employees effectively. The event will highlight the invaluable experience, mentorship, and stability that older adults offer, while addressing challenges such as ageism and evolving workplace needs.

The summit will take place April 8, 2025 at the Emera Innovation Exchange.
